The ProLab Design PL-GD02712-G4 is a 2U rackmount chassis designed for compact enterprise deployments with a clean industrial aesthetic. Ideal for Servers, NAS Systems, Edge Computing, AI Inference Nodes, Virtualization Platforms, Surveillance Storage, and Professional Workstations, this chassis is engineered for high-density rack environments while supporting modern enterprise hardware configurations.
The chassis supports SSI-EEB (E-ATX) motherboards, enabling compatibility with the latest Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC platforms, along with workstation-grade hardware configurations. Depending on motherboard layout and riser compatibility, the PL-265-12 can also support low-profile GPU installations for accelerated computing and media workloads.
Built for storage-focused deployments, the PL-265-12 features support for up to 12x Hot-Swap 3.5”/2.5” drive bays, and combined with a Tri-mode (NVME/SATA/SAS) backplane, making it suitable for large-capacity storage arrays, backup servers, media archives, and high-speed caching systems without compromising rack efficiency.
Cooling is handled through 4x pre-installed 80mm (80x80x38mm) fans, delivering focused airflow across critical components in dense rack environments. The chassis also supports 1+1 CRPS redundant power supplies, ensuring reliability and uptime for enterprise and mission-critical applications.
For deployment convenience, the ProLab Design PL-GD02712-G4 includes the PL-2U-660-RK rail kit in the box, allowing smooth rack installation and maintenance access. With support for 7x half-height PCI/PCIe expansion slots and a compact 650mm depth, it balances expandability with data center practicality.
With the front drive bays & stealthy design, and compatibility with most server racks, the PL-GD02712-G4 can be deployed on various environments.
Perfect for use cases which require high-density data storage, the flexible cages can hold either 3.5” or 2.5” (NVME, SATA or SAS) drives, without any special attachments.
Connecting the front bays to the Motherboard is easy due to the included Tri-Mode interface with support for NVME, SATA or SAS protocols.
SSI-EEB (12” x 13”) or E-ATX Motherboards are compatible with the chassis, which amounts to majority of the workstation or server grade boards of EPYC, XEON or Threadripper Platforms.

The 4 x 80mm Cooling FANs Pre-Installed in the front helps in cooling the drives in the front, as well as the other components while assisting the CPU Cooling.
