The ProLab Design PL-4808 is a 4U rackmount chassis designed for compact enterprise deployments with a clean industrial aesthetic. Ideal for Servers, NAS Systems, Edge Computing, AI Inference Nodes, Virtualization Platforms, Surveillance Storage, and Professional Workstations, this chassis is engineered for high-density rack environments while supporting modern enterprise hardware configurations.
The chassis supports SSI-EEB (E-ATX) motherboards, enabling compatibility with the latest Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC platforms, along with workstation-grade hardware configurations. Depending on motherboard layout and riser compatibility, the PL-4808 can also support low-profile GPU installations for accelerated computing and media workloads.
Built for storage-focused deployments, the PL-4808 features support for up to internal 2 x 3.5” & 4 x 2.5” drive bays, making it suitable for AI workstations, storage arrays, backup servers, media archives, and high-speed caching systems without compromising rack efficiency.
Cooling is handled through 4x pre-installed 120mm fans, delivering focused airflow across critical components in dense rack environments. The chassis also supports ATX(PS2) or 1+1 CRPS redundant power supplies, ensuring reliability and uptime for enterprise and mission-critical applications.
For deployment convenience, the ProLab Design PL-4808 includes the PL-4U-660-RK rail kit in the box, allowing smooth rack installation and maintenance access. With support for 8x half-height PCI/PCIe expansion slots and a compact 650mm depth, it balances expandability with data center practicality.
With the front ventilation & stealthy design, and compatibility with most server racks, the PL-4808 can be deployed on various environments.
Perfect for use cases which require high-density data storage, the chassis can hold either 3.5” or 2.5” drives, without any special attachments.
SSI-EEB (12” x 13”) or E-ATX Motherboards are compatible with the chassis, which amounts to majority of the workstation or server grade boards of EPYC, XEON or Threadripper Platforms.
Zero downtime with Hot-Swappable CRPS 1+1 PSUs, for mission critical deployments, or ATX(PS2) PSUs for better cost optimization.
The 3 x 120mm Cooling FANs Pre-Installed in the front helps in cooling the drives in the front, as well as the other components while assisting the CPU Cooling.
Delivering data is a breeze with the USB 3.0 ports in front that deliver a combine bandwidth of 5 Gb/s
Add additional NICs, 2 x Double Width GPUs or NVMe storage cards for expanding the capabilities of the system.
Rack installation is convenient with the Railkits included in the box.
