The ProLab Design HS4216GE-EGS-D is a next-generation 4U rackmount server barebone engineered for AI training, HPC clusters, cloud computing, GPU virtualization, rendering farms, and enterprise-scale accelerated computing deployments. Designed for modern data center environments, the platform combines PCIe Gen5 connectivity, high GPU density, DDR5 memory support, and enterprise-grade redundancy for demanding compute workloads.
Powered by dual 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors based on Sapphire Rapids and Emerald Rapids architectures, the HS4216GE-EGS-D supports CPUs up to 350W TDP alongside the Intel C741 chipset, delivering exceptional compute performance for AI, simulation, scientific workloads, virtualization, and large-scale enterprise applications.
The platform supports up to 10x dual-width GPUs, making it ideal for AI training, machine learning, deep learning inference, GPU rendering, and HPC acceleration. Utilizing a Direct PCIe Expansion Module architecture with MCIO Gen5 x8 connectivity and up to 12x PCIe 5.0 x16 FHHL slots, the server provides ultra-high-bandwidth GPU and expansion connectivity for next-generation accelerator deployments.
Designed for memory-intensive enterprise workloads, the HS4216GE-EGS-D features 32x DDR5 DIMM slots supporting memory speeds up to 5600MHz, enabling significantly higher bandwidth and scalability for virtualization, AI datasets, and high-performance compute environments. Storage support includes 12x front-accessible LFF hot-swap SATA/SAS/NVMe drive bays for flexible enterprise storage configurations.
Cooling is handled through 12x hot-swap redundant fans with N+1 redundancy using 6038/6056 fan configurations, ensuring efficient airflow delivery across CPUs, GPUs, memory, and storage components during continuous heavy-load operation. The platform also supports up to 4x 2000W CRPS power supplies in a 3+1 redundant configuration for enterprise-grade uptime and power reliability.
For connectivity and advanced remote management, the HS4216GE-EGS-D includes dual USB 3.0 ports, VGA output, 1GbE networking with NCSI support, an OCP 3.0 slot, and DC-SCM 2.0 management powered by the ASPEED AST2600 controller with IPMI 2.0 and Redfish support for enterprise monitoring and remote administration. The included railkit simplifies rack deployment, while the 4U rackmount design provides the thermal capacity and expansion flexibility required for high-density GPU infrastructure.
