The ProLab Design PL-165-04 is a compact 1U rackmount chassis designed for enterprise servers, storage appliances, networking infrastructure, and dense rack deployments. Built with a clean industrial design and optimized for high-density environments, the chassis provides reliable compatibility for modern server hardware while maintaining an ultra-compact footprint.
Supporting SSI-EEB (E-ATX) motherboards, the PL-165-04 is compatible with enterprise-grade Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC server platforms, making it suitable for virtualization, storage management, edge computing, and infrastructure-focused deployments in professional rack environments.
Storage support includes 4x front-accessible 3.5” hot-swap drive bays along with 1x 2.5” bay, enabling flexible storage configurations for NAS systems, backup servers, surveillance storage, and enterprise archival applications. The integrated 12 Gb/s Mini SAS backplane ensures high-speed storage connectivity and simplified drive management.
Cooling is handled through support for up to 6x 40mm fans, with 4x 4028 fans pre-installed to provide focused airflow across CPUs, memory, and storage components for stable operation under continuous workloads in compact 1U rack deployments.
The chassis supports standard 1U power supplies and includes 1x full-height horizontal expansion slot for networking, storage, or specialized enterprise add-in cards depending on deployment requirements. GPU support is not included, allowing the design to remain optimized for infrastructure and storage-focused applications.
For deployment convenience, the ProLab Design PL-165-04 includes a railkit for simplified rack installation and maintenance access. Front I/O connectivity includes 2x USB 3.0 ports, while the compact 650mm depth improves compatibility across a wide range of enterprise server racks and data center environments.
