The ProLab Design PL-S665-48 is a high-density 6U rackmount chassis designed for enterprise storage infrastructure, large-scale NAS deployments, archival servers, backup platforms, and software-defined storage environments. Built with support for SSI-EEB (E-ATX) motherboards, the PL-S665-48 is compatible with modern Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC enterprise platforms, making it ideal for enterprise virtualization, storage orchestration, backup management, media archival, and cloud storage workloads.
The chassis supports up to 48x front-accessible 3.5” hot-swap drive bays along with 2x internal 2.5” drive bays, enabling large-capacity storage arrays while maintaining efficient rack utilization. Integrated 12 Gb/s Mini SAS backplane connectivity ensures reliable high-speed storage communication suitable for enterprise NAS systems, surveillance retention, backup repositories, and large-scale data storage deployments.
Cooling is managed through 6x pre-installed 12038 hot-swap fans, delivering strong airflow across processors, storage arrays, memory modules, and expansion hardware in sustained high-load environments. The chassis also includes dual pre-installed 1600W CRPS power supplies, ensuring redundant power delivery and continuous uptime for mission-critical enterprise deployments.
For expansion flexibility, the PL-S665-48 supports 7x half-height expansion slots and conditional low-profile GPU support depending on motherboard layout and hardware configuration. This enables support for RAID controllers, high-speed networking adapters, storage accelerators, and specialized enterprise add-in cards.
For deployment convenience, the ProLab Design PL-S665-48 includes a railkit for streamlined rack installation and maintenance accessibility. Front I/O connectivity includes 2x USB 3.0 ports, while the optimized 650mm chassis depth allows integration into modern enterprise rack environments without sacrificing storage density or serviceability.
